The Sonwabise Tese project is a leisure program for girls between the ages of 14 and 18. The weekly group sessions are for girls from Masiphumelele and take place on Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00am. The group is a contact point for the girls, where they are encouraged and supported in their development.

Sonwabise is a Xhosa name and means “make us happy, listen to our stories”. Tese is a Shona name and means “Together we can do it”.
